The ancients had a wisdom I believe that has been lost along the way of modern times. We used to honor the traditions of natural healing and age-old spiritual practices that took a holistic approach to wellness. Looking at the body as a whole, as deep as the soul, gives a much broader insight into what may be happening to bring imbalance and dis-ease.

There is no one size fits all in medicine or healing. Every person has their unique blueprint that gives a roadmap to different levels of the body’s systems, the stability of the mental capacities and emotional balance.

Holistic medicine looks for equilibrium in the physical, spiritual, and emotional areas backed by proven methods for healing. Shamanism, herbal remedies, plant medicine and meditation all have beneficial attributes that go beyond medical treatments, assisting the mind and body to heal in miraculous ways.

Shamanism is the world’s oldest spiritual practice that utilizes a set of practical techniques that have enabled us to survive and thrive. It is the universal spiritual wisdom inherent to all indigenous tribes. All ancient spiritual practices are rooted in nature, shamanism is the method which helps us to strengthen that natural connection. Shamans are said to treat ailments/illness by mending the soul of past trauma, restoring the physical body of the individual to balance and wholeness. Shamans teach us to develop our minds and willpower for autonomy over our own body. They teach us how to be medicine men and women in our own right, trusting our intuition, and listening to what the body needs. There is more than meets the eye, shamanism gives us the opportunity to discover what is hidden.

Herbal Remedies go back many centuries offering natural ways for healing sickness and disease. We live
in a time today when manufactured medicines and prescriptions prevail. Fortunately, they are not the only approach to healing. When they fail, we can turn to medicinal plants to boost physical and mental well-being. It is important to study and know the most effective and therapeutic plants available to us today (with strong scientific evidence to support their safe use).

Boost Brain Health – Gingko
One of the oldest homeopathic plants and a key herb in Chinese medicine. It can treat patients with mild to moderate dementia and can slow cognition decline. Gingko can be beneficial for depression, bone healing, anxiety, and Alzheimer.
Anti-Inflammatory – Tumeric
It has been used as a medicinal herb for over 4,000 years and has its origins from India. Tumeric relieves discomfort and pain from arthritis and inflammatory disease.
Moonflower - Evening Primrose Oil
This oil is known to help with atopic dermatitis and diabetic neuropathy. It can be beneficial for PMS, menopause, MS, and blood pressure.

Plant Medicine has been around for tens of thousands of years and can be found in roots, herbs, fungi, and trees. People of earlier times placed these sacred plants at the heart of their spiritual practices and for healing. The psychedelic plants heal the mind, body, and soul. The more commonly known plants include cannabis, Psilocybin cubensis (magic mushrooms), and B. cappi and chacruna (common constituent plants of the Amazonian brew ayahuasca). When used therapeutically there is usually atransformational inner journey of self-reflection and profound consciousness expansion that can change lives in highly positive ways. Plant medicine can treat PTSD, addiction, depression, and anxiety.

Meditation comes in many different forms and has a wide range of benefits for mental and physical health. A Shamanic journey in meditation can provide answers to questions or bring profound insights in current life challenges. Going into a deep meditation can help quiet the mind and bring overall relaxation resulting in better sleep, clarity and better decision making. Developing a regular meditation practice will be beneficial for both short term and long-term results. It can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as 30 minutes or more. Depending on the goals and intention for meditation, healing and balance can be achieved in a very short period of time. Some types of meditation include Transcendental Meditation, Zen Meditation, Yoga Meditation, Qigong Meditation, Mantras, Sound Baths, Mindfulness Meditation, Visualization, and Guided Meditation.
